It's Been Awhile

My My, Three years since my last post. Am I getting lazy or what? What has kept me so busy a to not write a post for so long? Well (a deep subject) may be I was just too scared to ruin my chances of a political career by writing things that may not get me elected (nah I have already done that). Maybe I needed to get madder and lose my sanity to gain the motivation to write on. Anyway, hi folks I am back.

For the last few years I have been playing a lot of ROTMG (realm of the mad god), reading the news (dah), watching anime, reading manga, and resting a lot. I haven't forgotten my blog, I just lost motivation. I'll try to write more, be sarcastic and be as cynical as I can. I like to get responses and comments from everyone so don't be shameful. If you give me crap though, be prepared to get a lot back. Always remember to be civil.

If you know me personally and read my post before I get a chance to update everything, don't be surprised if things have changed and have not been updated. I started typing before checking the blog itself. Am I boring you yet? Sorry moving on.

This past three years have been difficult for me. Especially all the things that have been happening at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The white garments, giving at baptism that are supposed to be presented to God unstained, seems to be covered in dirt and blood. Stains that are permanent and no amount of bleach will whiten. Scandal after scandal has plagued the president, and no matter the severity or disgrace the president encounters, he seems unfazed, unrepentant, even uncaring. I am certain he has no intention of doing anything else as far as helping our country. As he said recently "I already won my second term".

The senate won't do anything. The house is suing the president. The courts are upholding the constitution as best as they are told to do? What ever the case may be, if you don't like what is happening in the white house, you are a racist and a bigot and most likely hate children. You do hate children right? It can't be helped because you can't comprehend what the president is doing. He is smarter then you so you need to be told everything. What to eat, what to buy, how to educate your children, who is welcome to our country and not, etc. etc. etc. Just be happy that the government is not taking all of your paycheck. Don't complain if you do see above.

This is a good start. I'll try to post something everyday. Not sure if it will be political, funny, or what. It will mostly be my musings. If you want me to write a specific topic, leave a comment at the bottom or e-mail at the link somewhere on this page.

Government the New Religion – A Catholics Perspective

In the name of the President, Senate, and House of Representatives, amen.

Our government who art in Washington

Spending be thy name

Thy taxes come

Thy debt be done

In every state as it is in Washington

Give us this day your daily lie

And forgive your criminal friends their trespasses

As we forgive you for taking away our liberties

Lead us not to self-reliance

But deliver to us more entitlements

For the government

The lobbyist

And the unions

Are the only ones you listen too

Everyday you are in office

Amen.

What I Wanted President Obama to Say in Cairo

I knew that there was gong to be pandering and apologizing going on in his speech. I was not surprised when he said we “share common principles -- principles of justice and progress; tolerance and the dignity of all human beings.” Lie! I was not surprised when he made up history “it was innovation in Muslim communities that developed; our magnetic compass and tools of navigation”. I think the Chinese will have something to say about that. I could go on and on taking Obama’s speech apart piece by piece. That is not what this is about; it is what he didn’t say that I want to talk about.

For those who don’t know me I am against gay marriage. Not because I hate them or want to deny them rights, I am against it because it is a religious rite. That being said, why did he not ask for gay or sexual orientation tolerance? I will remind you that being gay in a Muslim world is a death sentence. Values and Principles

Why did he not ask Muslims to change from religious law to common law? Turkey has done it, why not Egypt or Saudi Arabia?

Why only mention Jews, Christians and Muslims? What about the other religions of the world? Do they have no meaning or clout to bring to the table of the world?

What do you say?

Letter to Rep. DeFazio, Sen. Merkley, and Sen. Wyden

Dear Rep. DeFazio, Sen. Merkley and Sen. Wyden,

Please speak out against Rep. Henry Waxman, Chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee, for slapping all Americans in the face. When asked to read a bill out loud, he hired a speed reader to read the bill. He also commented that he himself did not read the bill and does not know everything contained in it. This is unacceptable. What kind of example does this set for Congress. Are you all elitist? Does anyone have any morals or values in Washington? In my profession, I would be fired for a stunt like that, however, Americans have to wait till the next election to remove an elected official.

I am very concerned about the direction that the Federal Government is taking our country. The founding father of the Democratic Party was Thomas Jefferson who hated big Government, however, recent decisions and legislation says the Democratic Party wants Government to control everything. Banks, insurance companies, car companies, cap and trade, and healthcare not to mention all of the other entitlements that are already in place are intruding on me and my family. I used to be able t take care of myself, however, I am taxed so harshly that soon no matter how many jobs I work, the government will take it away from me and give it to someone else.

Why do you support punishing productive Americans? Why do you think the Federal Government knows best? I ask you to not tow the current party line and return to what Thomas Jefferson believed in, a small limited Federal Government.

I will be posting this e-mail on my blog http://ricevillage.blogspot.com as I do with all communications I send to public officials.

What Do I Stand For?

I believe in God. He gives me meaning and purpose.

I believe in freedom for everyone. Every person on Earth deserves freedom.

I believe in Capitalism. Economic justice comes through self-reliance.

I believe in legislative laws. Legislators create laws and the courts enforce them.

I believe in service to one another. We should help each other without governments help.

Against Abortion or what I call Pro Death

Against Gay Marriage – Gay marriage infringes on religious beliefs. If we allow gay’s to marry then we will be opening the door to Men or women who want to marry kids or others forms of marriage.

Against death taxes

I want secure borders. No documents stay out. If you are an illegal alien you are breaking our immigration law. Come here legally or don’t.

I want laws enforced. We don’t need more laws. We need the laws enforced. What we do need is more lawmen and law women.

I want the strongest military in the world. If we want peace we must work for justice. No country will respect or fear us if we are not ready, willing and able to finish any fight thrown at us. The best way to win a battle is to never have to fight.

I want a balanced budget. When the checking account is zero, we don’t spend any more money. We devote a good portion of taxes to pay off our debt before we sponsor any more programs.

I want welfare handled by local organizations. The government doesn’t see the poor and homeless. To them they are numbers. Let the local communities take control of the poor and homeless, they do a better job.

I want vouchers for every child k-12. Socialized education has not worked let the free market try. If parents want to home school the voucher can be used to purchase the materials they need.

No more Federal College grants or secured loans. You can do it on you own. Get a job. I would also offer that many colleges have endowments that would allow them to let all of their students go to school for free. Going to college is not a right it is a privilege. With no more help from government, the price should go down.
I believe in helping out our friends. If you need help I will be there to serve anyway I can.

I support countries that that the same values while I will continue to chastise countries that do not care for human rights.

I will make mistakes. I am human and am prone to error. When I error I will apologize for my actions. I will expect the same from the people I associate with. I will call them on it even at my own peril.

I will stand up for what is right not what is popular. I am a man of principles and values that do not always align with the majority, however; I will be consistent.

I will not be perfect. I will always strive for perfection; however, I know I will always reach excellence.

I am not always the smartest guy, so I will surround myself with them.

I will always listen to your opinion. It matters to me, however, I may still decide to choose a different path that is more inline with my values and principles.

There are many more to add. This is a good start.

Harry
