My My, Three years since my last post. Am I getting lazy or what? What has kept me so busy a to not write a post for so long? Well (a deep subject) may be I was just too scared to ruin my chances of a political career by writing things that may not get me elected (nah I have already done that). Maybe I needed to get madder and lose my sanity to gain the motivation to write on. Anyway, hi folks I am back.
For the last few years I have been playing a lot of ROTMG (realm of the mad god), reading the news (dah), watching anime, reading manga, and resting a lot. I haven't forgotten my blog, I just lost motivation. I'll try to write more, be sarcastic and be as cynical as I can. I like to get responses and comments from everyone so don't be shameful. If you give me crap though, be prepared to get a lot back. Always remember to be civil.
If you know me personally and read my post before I get a chance to update everything, don't be surprised if things have changed and have not been updated. I started typing before checking the blog itself. Am I boring you yet? Sorry moving on.
This past three years have been difficult for me. Especially all the things that have been happening at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The white garments, giving at baptism that are supposed to be presented to God unstained, seems to be covered in dirt and blood. Stains that are permanent and no amount of bleach will whiten. Scandal after scandal has plagued the president, and no matter the severity or disgrace the president encounters, he seems unfazed, unrepentant, even uncaring. I am certain he has no intention of doing anything else as far as helping our country. As he said recently "I already won my second term".
The senate won't do anything. The house is suing the president. The courts are upholding the constitution as best as they are told to do? What ever the case may be, if you don't like what is happening in the white house, you are a racist and a bigot and most likely hate children. You do hate children right? It can't be helped because you can't comprehend what the president is doing. He is smarter then you so you need to be told everything. What to eat, what to buy, how to educate your children, who is welcome to our country and not, etc. etc. etc. Just be happy that the government is not taking all of your paycheck. Don't complain if you do see above.
This is a good start. I'll try to post something everyday. Not sure if it will be political, funny, or what. It will mostly be my musings. If you want me to write a specific topic, leave a comment at the bottom or e-mail at the link somewhere on this page.

Glen Beck
I am sure I have got your attention by writing about Glen Beck. Yes I do watch him daily and no I do not ware an aluminum hat. Like any commentator, myself included, Glen offers opinions about what he sees, hears and reads. That being the case you to need to do the same.
For too long we have forgotten what an argument is; simply put it's disagreement in opinion, philosophy, beliefs, etc. Not hurting people's feelings (politically correct) contradicts our parents advice "Sticks and stones will break my bones, but names will never hurt me! Said by one youngster to another calling names. [1894 G. F. Northall Folk-Phrases 23]". Why not speak your mind?
I do way too often I'm told. I am not sensitive or understanding of how my words may hurt other people's feelings. You know what I say, to bad. I am done with being politically correct. I am done hesitating to say something I mean. It's over. I believe you can say what you mean without being rude. This is essence of a good argument, facts.
This is why I like to listen to Glen Beck. What every you think of the guy or his commentary, all of the things he presents are based on facts. No one has challenged his assertions. They have smeared him, called him names, and the like, yet the have not factually disproved anything he has said. We need more men and women like him in the media.
So I say watch a show or read one of his books. You will be amazed at what you will find. Here are the ones I own.

Harry's Plan to Fix America
In news conference on June 8, Biden's chief economist Jared Bernstein said of the first 100 days of Obama's administration "we've created or saved over 150,000 jobs". The truth is since February of 2009 the number of unemployed rose from 12.5 million to 14.5 million. Most kids over the age of 10 can tell you that 14.5 is bigger than 12.5, so how do you save or create 150,000 jobs? Why did we spend 800 billion dollars to stimulate the economy? I have a better Idea and it will only cost 305 million dollars.
We could give everyone in the nation a million dollars and saved 799 billion dollars. I mean everyone man, women and child. If we each invested the million dollars in a mutual fund earning 12% interest we would get $10,000 each month and not touch the million dollars. Wow we could pay off our debt, own a house, pay for our own health care, and have leftover to take a vacation. With my plan we can dissolve the IRS, Medicare, and Social Security. Imagine no more Federal Income Tax ever! Collection on tariffs from trade and corporate taxes will pay for the Military and the few required federal services, CIA, FBI, Legislative, Judicial, and Executive branches of the Federal Government. Done.
Imagine a Nation with no more poor, hungry, or homeless.

Pay As You Go, No Go in Congress
President Obama in a press conference told reporters that any new spending or tax cuts must be paid for, however, we can run a deficit to get health care reform going. Anyone but me see a problem with that statement? It is a lie. Polls tell Obama that he is in trouble with the American people because of his spending. To counteract the polls he is offering a flat out lie. Congress has always had a pay as you go rule, they just circumvent the rule as they please. They will do the same to pass the health care spending bill as well as cap and trade to do it.
Now is the time to find new people to head to Capital Hill. Make sure they are not politicians or lawyers, lobbyist or special interest, and no one from a single union. The people we send should be more concerned with their current job or business and be bothered that they have to serve. That way only issues that really concern the people are brought before congress and congress will only meet for a few days.
They will do away with the IRS because it is bloated and only encourages the Federal Government to spend money. The will do away with all entitlements because only about five cents out of every dollar reaches the people who need the money. Local charities are better suited for handling these operations. Most importantly they will bring common sense to Capital Hill.
Imagine a pay check with no Federal Income Tax, FICA, Medicare, and whatever else we need to pay to the Feds. April 15 will become an ordinary day. Imagine being able to give to a local charity money that the government used to take. In stead of five cents on the dollar they get ninety five. The best part is you get to choose the programs you want to support. Choice is beautiful.
Enough is enough. We have a choice. Use your voice, pen, or computer to tell congress it is over. We are taking the country back. They no longer represent America. They represent the love of your money not you. Stop the lies. Change the makeup of Government. Let common sense rule. We have a choice.

How Do We Fix America?
Federal Governments responsibilities
If you read these Articles of the Constitution, you will not find a single mention of some of the most expensive entitlements we give to our citizens. Welfare, Education K-12, Social Security, Medicare, and Prescription Drugs to name a few. Nor will you find our Government accountable for insuring deposits, private company debt, or regulating the free market, yet they seem to be. It seems that the Federal Government is over stepping it's bounds and needs to be brought under control. So back to my original question how do we fix America?
First, all federal entitlements need to go. Yes they do. If a State wants to continue to provide an entitlement they can, it is their right. The Federal Government should not, I mean can not impose entitlements on the entire country, it is not their responsibility. If they don't know what their responsibility is, they need to read the Constitution.
Second, States need to understand their obligation and survival is dependent on the people who live in their state. Depending on and sometimes demanding the Federal Government help a particular state, prevents other states from providing services to their citizens. Meaning, Federal Income Taxes collected in one state must be used to help another state. Not very capitalistic to me sounds like socialism or communism. Let States fend for themselves. If citizens don't like the politics in one state they can move and give their taxes to a state they agree with. Not that is capitalism at its best.
Third, the President is not going to solve the problems of the country. No single man or women alive now or in the past is smart enough to accomplish this. Problems in America differ from state to state, county to county, and from one neighbor to neighbor. This is why reliance on politicians did not make this country great, it was reliance on one's self and his or her local community that has shaped our country. The President needs to read the Constitution and understand his role is to stay out of our homes.
Fourth, get involved in the community. How many people do not know their neighbors? I mean know your neighbors, like simple things, what are their names, where do they work, do they have kids, etc.? This is the greatest loss America faces. We have been led to believe that the individual is the most important, the customer is king. I am here to tell you that is wrong. Personal responsibility and accountability is what America is lacking. People getting together to solve community problems creates solutions that are specific and measurable to that community. What works in one community my not work in another.
Fifth, judge each other. There needs to be acceptable behavior and when you see someone acting out do something. If someone is breaking the law report it don't ignore it or say it's not my responsibility. Keeping the peace and a community in order is a community responsibility. I am not proposing vigilantes or posies, I am saying if you see a person doing something stupid tell them, if you see something dangerous happening stop it. Use your common sense. What people do in public does affect you, keep them and yourself accountable and responsible.
That's it. Just five things to get America back on tract. Simple in thought but extremely difficult to implement. Removal of entitlements, redistribution of wealth, and allowing the States to have their rights back are difficult to reverse, however not impossible and the outcome rewarding. Lower Federal Taxes, locally sponsored social programs, States spend money where its needed and not have to compete for Federal Funds, lower rates of crime, lower state taxes, less Federal Regulations, just to name a few.
So how do we make this happen? I have no idea where to start, so that's where you my friends come in. Comment, make suggestions, offer better solutions, what ever you think will help let me know. Lets put all together and answer the question How do we fix America?
Harry.
- Legislative : Article. I. Section. 8. to 10. outline the responsibilities of the House and Senate.
- Executive : Article. II. Section. 2. and 3. outline the responsibilities of the President
- Judicial : Article. III. Section. 2. outlines the responsibilities of the Supreme Court

May Day is Lei Day In Hawaii
In 1893, the Hawaiian Kingdom came to an end. It was little more than 100 years earlier that King Kamehameha united the eight major islands under one ruler. It did not take long for Christian Missionaries to arrive on the shores of paradise with the goal of converting the savages. Little did they know the disaster they would bring to the native people.
For many generations, the Hawaiian Islands, were isolated from the world. Before the arrival of Captain Cook in 1774, no one in the chain had ever seen a white man. The Hawaiian's thought Cook to be a God and treated him as such. Unfortunately for Cook, he overstayed his visit. This was the first foreigner, however, he would not be the last.
As more and more foreigners arrived, the native population was devastated. Having no anti-bodies to combat many common ailments, hundreds of thousands died. The extinction of a race of humans had begun. Today it is a fact that we will see the last pure Hawaiians die off in the next generation, if not sooner. A human extinction that took less that two hundred years.
While environmentalist were worried about the spotted owl, hump back whale, and the condor, they failed to see the end of an entire race of people. Where were the environmentalist when the humans needed them? I know the spotted owls, the hump back whales, and condors still live, what about the Hawaiians?
I write this article because today in Hawaii there are celebrations going on all over the State. I have been missing the festivities for almost eight years now because of moving my family to Oregon. Last night my wife made carnation leis for my little one and herself. The stringing of flowers reminded me of home. My ancestral home, Hawaii.
I have spent most of the day trying to think of something to write about. For the past few days I've been suffering from writers block. So around 11 PM, I thought I would write a story about May Day in Hawaii. I sat down and did a bad thing I read the Local News. Illegal immigrant rights activist march on Portland. Foreign workers, flown in to replace laid off Americans. Union to own fifty percent of Chrysler. And so on. May day became not a celebration for me but an emergency call "May Day, May Day".
Why choose the plight of Native Hawaiians to discuss the problems in America? So history does not repeat it's self. Will Americans become extinct like the Hawaiians? Are we allowing a Government to dictate our lives or as Obama puts it "real change you can believe in". It was not change that Americans wanted, they wanted leadership, but what they got in Obama was Bush on steroids. We are being distracted by one issue after another. The Government using slight of hand just like an illusionist.
The change that we need now is:
Government needs to collect all its bail out money now
No more bail outs
Close the boarders
Enforce Immigration Laws
No more foreign worker visas
Cut all social program budgets with plans to end them
No more death tax
No Cap and Trade
Flat Tax
This is the start. We need to move closer to no government control, not to total government control like we are doing. Let us push forward to make the Government afraid of its people. For if we do not take heed, we may end up like the Hawaiians, extinct.

Why Government Social Programs Don’t Work and the Solution to the Problem
I was once the treasure of a government and business program (keeping the name anonymous to protect the people I worked with). I was asked to attend a meeting to see presentations from the different areas of out reach so I would feel comfortable signing the budget. The first presenter was in charge of coordinating the local food banks. He presented a PowerPoint presentation and when he got to a slide showing the success they had achieved I raised my hand to point out a mistake with his graph.
The graph depicted a ten-year trend of food collection; in year one they collected 100,000 pounds of food and now the collect five million pounds. Since the social program he works for was mandated to put people to work, I pointed out that his graph should be headed to zero pounds. Since I was the only non-public employee in the room, all eyes were on me. I explained that if our goal is to get people back to work, why are we collecting more food, increasing the budget, and hiring more employees? I went on to say that the goal should be to put this program out of business. That was too much common sense.
I am not a mean person; I care deeply for the less fortunate. I was once in my life very poor. My dad and I would pick up cans in a garbage dump to make money for our mortgage. I have walked in their shoes. I have gone without many comforts. I understand their struggles and make a point to help. I give to my Church’s soup kitchen and donated food to Church’s food bank for example. This is where social programs need to be, in the local community, run by volunteers, and supported by donations. The paradigm shift will benefit everyone. We will be able to due away with some government run social programs and allow volunteer efforts to expand. Here is how it works.
Instead of me paying tax to the government to support a social program, some that go against my values and principles, I get to choose who I give to. The benefits of doing this are significant. The government does not need to pay people to collect these taxes, prepare reports, print checks, and spend time discussing who gets what, etc. etc. etc. Communities get to choose which non-profit organizations they get to donate to, their money goes further due to fewer overheads, they don’t support programs that are not needed in their community, and the list goes on and on.
This is only one program run by the government that doesn’t make sense. I am sure there are many more. I don’t want to due away with social programs, I want the operations to be conducted by local organizations. I want to be able to choose where my money will go and not have the government decide. I am not helpless. I can decide. I can choose. I can make a difference. And I can do it better without government intervention.
